It’s a test so study for the test. Passing the PMP Exam (2024)
As someone who recently passed the PMP Exam with the above targets in all domains, I would suggest the following learning plan.
1. Don’t read the PMBOK Guide and read the Agile Guide maybe 1 or 2 times and don’t bother memorizing ITTOs
2. Order the latest edition of Andy Crowe’s book, avoid Rita (overly text heavy), and sign up for prep-cast. Here is a link for the site https://www.project-management-prepcast.com/pmp-exam-prep?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_id=20595291532&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAhc-sBhCEARIsAOVwHuSHLwAD6Rp4-czRmSt_AwR7xV6DXAm-nvdiNt-kmw7hrZz0TWkwTKAaAnBcEALw_wcB
3. Read a knowledge area in Andy Crowe and take a corresponding quiz in precast, anywhere from 30–50 questions, and repeat till you score above 80% consistently. Do this for the first 4–5 knowledge areas and take a little break
4. Repeat step 3 for the next 4–5 knowledge areas
5. Take quizzes on the 3 domain areas and repeat till you score consistently above 80% in all 3 domain areas
6. Take the 4 PrepCast Mock PMP exams and repeat till you score above 80% in all of them
If you can score above 80% consistently on the prepcast exams you will be ready for the PMP exam as per my experience. The prepcast exams are the single best resource to get you ready. It’s a test study towards the test
When considering Agile, what helped me was to sit for my scrum certification. Once I could pass that, I was confident I could address all the PMP-related questions
